The Power of Pinned Posts: How To Use Your Top 3 To Convert Visitors Into Followers

Most people discover your brand before they ever find your best content. They land on your profile, see whatever you posted last, & make a judgment in seconds.

Pinned posts exist to change that. Three spots at the top of your grid... curated, intentional, & working for your brand around the clock. And most brands are either leaving them empty or filling them with the wrong things.

Think of Your Posts as a Billboard

Your pinned posts are the first impression you control. While your grid tells the full story, your pins tell the most important part of it. The question to ask: if someone only ever saw these three posts, would they know exactly who you are, what you do, & why they should follow you?

If the answer is no, it's time to repin.

What Belongs in Your Top 3

Your most compelling introduction. A reel, a carousel, or a post that answers the question: who is this brand & why does it matter? This could be your origin story, your brand values, or a piece of content that captures your voice & perspective better than anything else on your feed. Give new visitors a reason to care immediately.

Your strongest proof of expertise. A post that demonstrates what you do & how well you do it. Client results, a case study, a process breakdown, a transformation... something that answers the question every potential client is quietly asking: can this brand actually deliver? Social proof here does the heavy lifting before anyone reaches out.

Your clearest call to action. A post that tells people exactly what to do next. Whether that's booking a call, visiting your website, sending a DM, or joining your community. Your pins should always include one clear next step.

What Doesn't Belong There

Your most recent post... unless it happens to be your best. A post that performed well in reach but doesn't represent your brand at its strongest. Content that made sense six months ago, but no longer reflects where you are now.

Pinning by recency is a missed opportunity. Pin by strategy.

Revisit Them Regularly

Your pinned posts aren't set it & forget it. As your brand evolves, your offerings change, & your content improves... your pins should reflect that. Revisit them quarterly alongside your content audit & ask whether they're still doing the job.

Three posts. Infinite first impressions. Make them count.
